Shelby Charger engine bay, minus head!Well, over the last several weeks the rebuild of the Charger has progressed well - even though time has been a little pushed.

It seems hard to believe the vehicle has been off the road for a year now (the annual SORN reminder has just come through). The car is all back together finally with the exception of the turbo return hose ...

Dodge Shelby Charger head, minus car! After searching the internet and local garages for a replacement item (that was cost effective), Duchy Hoses and Hydraulic in Falmouth came to my rescue.

They have done a terrific job of fabricating me a new hose that is far superior to the original equipment. This coming weekend - weather and B-B-Q commitments permitting, I'll fit the hose, the new thermostat, a new set of Champion plugs, top all the fluids up and turn the key (?)

Dodge Shelby Charger in CornwallTalk about being optimistic! One minor item that will require attention is to re-tap the top thermostat housing thread, dependant on the leak situation (it'll leak). Once mechanically fixed I'll give it a good polish, get the minor husbandry defects done, MOT it and put up for sale.
